Volunteer

From her roots of volunteering with Special Olympics, through to fundraising for sports organizations and arts organizations, to assisting at the 2010 Olympic Games held in Vancouver, Jill believes in supporting the community by giving back. Volunteering is an ongoing activity in Jill's life.

Assisting with theatre shows, coaching differing sports, coordinating events, serving christmas dinner to frail seniors, assisting with youth band nights, and party planning for differing groups and agencies, have all come with huge personal rewards. One of the most memorable volunteer experiences came in teaching an 8 year old girl with Autism how to swim.

It is always the little things in volunteering that reap the greatest rewards. Jill believes, ‘To give of oneself is the greatest gift of all’.
